On display in the Local History Vault is an exhibit of long time Ellsworth Elementary Schools Librarian, Bill Hoyt’s donated Newbery and Caldecott Award winning book collections. Are there any books you read as a kid in the collection? Maybe some you read to your kids? This collection epitomizes the importance of books. Reading fosters connections, boosts language fluency, develops listening skills, and activates the imagination. The Ellsworth Public Library is proud to highlight the importance of our school librarians and their role creating memories and teaching lifelong skills.
